A young boy was walking through an orchard when he saw one of the workers picking apples. When the worker saw the boy approaching, out of the kindness of his heart offered him one. Now the boy, being entitled and greedy, begged the worker for two apples instead of one. The worker felt that the boy was taking advantage of his kindness and so to teach him a lesson didn’t give the boy any of the apples.
In this way the boy learned a valuable lesson but still suffered the consequences of his greed.
